Dylan Walker, a foreign reporter with China Daily Youth Channel, noted that the bridge has helped protect the habitat of Chinese white dolphins alongside bridge construction, showing that major infrastructure projects and wildlife conservation can go hand in hand.《中國日報青年頻道》的外籍記者迪倫·沃克指出，這座橋樑在建設過程中助力保護了中華白海豚的棲息地，這表明大型基礎設施項目與野生動物保護能夠攜手並進。
Opened on October 23, 2018, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is a 55-kilometer mega-project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) that reduces the road journey from three hours to around 45 minutes. It is the world’s longest sea-crossing bridge, featuring the longest immersed road tunnel and the longest steel bridge section. 港珠澳大橋於2018年10月23日通車，是粵港澳大灣區55公里的巨型工程，將陸路通行時間從三小時縮短至約45分鐘。它是世界最長的跨海大橋，擁有最長的沉管公路隧道和最長的鋼橋橋段。
As of the end of 2025, the bridge had served over 107 million passenger trips and more than 14.62 million vehicle crossings, which has facilitated the flow of people and resources. The bridge also serves as a vital trade corridor, with total import and export values exceeding 300 billion RMB (about 43.74 billion USD) in 2025 and about three million cross-border e-commerce parcels handled daily as of July, 2026.截至2025年底，該橋樑已累計通行旅客超1.07億人次、車輛超1462萬輛次，極大便利了人員與物資流動。這座橋樑同時也是重要的貿易通道，2025年進出口總額超3000億元人民幣（約437.4億美元），截至2026年7月，日均處理跨境電商包裹約300萬件。
